Romer Labs? Inc. was founded in 1982 by Tom and Marie Romer in Washington, MO as a testing service for mycotoxins.
Five years later Romer Labs? Inc. moved to it's current location in Union, MO. In 1995, Romer Labs? Inc. developed the first test kit, the FluoroQuant?. Four years later in 1999, the Erber AG (the Austrian holding company) aquired Romer Labs? Inc. and Tom Romer retired

In 2002, the Romer Labs? Group concept was established resulting in the creation of Regional Business Units (RBUs) in the USA, Austria and Singapore. In this year, Romer Labs? Diagnostic GmbH was also founded in Austria . One year later, the Romer Labs? Group concept was completed with the foundation of Romer Labs? Singapore Pte.Ltd. In the years 2004 and 2005, Romer Labs? in Singapore and Romer Labs? Diagnostic GmbH in Austria moved into new facilities.
Two years later, in 2007 Romer Labs? do Brasil Imp e Exp Ltda. was founded in Campinas and started operating in the Brazilian market.

Quantas Analytics and Biopure Reference materials became part of Romer Labs? Diagnostic GmbH and Romer Labs? (Beijing) Co. Ltd. was founded in 2009.
