Welcome to A2 Technologies. Our company name may be new to you, but we are confident that our extensive experience in engineering Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) based solutions for critical application problems will provide great value to you, your company and your industry.

Over the years the A2 scientists, engineers and owners have developed and manufactured over 10,000 FTIR analyzers, which are being used by a wide range of customers, from the US military to pharmaceutical companies. We have also innovated new means to analyze a broad range of samples types, as evidenced by the thousands of sampling devices used in conjunction with laboratory FTIR spectrometers, world-wide.

If you are an experienced FTIR user, you will undoubtedly be familiar with our inventions such as FTIR microscopy and cylindrical, horizontal and diamond ATR sampling. If you have worked in the chemical or pharmaceutical industry, you may have used our technology for analyzing chemical reactions in process development and process monitoring applications. And recently, our portable FTIR spectrometers have changed how emergency responders deal with analyzing potentially hazardous materials at the incident site. As a result, FTIR spectroscopy has become widely used in homeland security applications.

A2’s principal owners pioneered out-of-laboratory FTIR measurements and today we continue to focus on bringing FTIR to more and more diverse applications and end users. Our systems are designed to enable experienced FTIR users to develop dedicated methods, and then for those methods to be deployed with our analyzers in out-of-lab environments.

In 2007, A2 Technologies introduced the ML spectrometer series - small, rugged FTIR spectrometers for monitoring the condition of lubricating fluids in high value machinery at the sample site. Recently we announced Exoscan, the world’s first high performance, hand-held FTIR analyzer. Exoscan is a powerful, non-destructive testing device for surface analysis of composites and metals used in aircraft and aerospace manufacturing, as well as for other industries.
