Background
Based in Lund, Sweden, CellaVision was founded in 1994. The CellaVision concept of automated microscopy analysis comes from Christer F?hraeus and engineers connected to Lund Institute of Technology and the Ideon Science Park. Since 2001, the company also has a U.S. subsidiary in Jupiter, Fl, USA. In January 2007, a subsidiary in Toronto, ON, Canada was established, and one year later a subsidiary in Yokohama, Japan.

Owners
CellaVision has about 700 shareholders who have provided capital in connection with new stock issues. The principal owner is H&B Capital LP. Other major shareholders are Stiftelsen Industrifonden, Metallica F?rvaltnings AB, Christer F?hraeus, Life Equity Sweden KB and SIF.
