Eckert & Ziegler was founded in 1997 as a holding company. Its oldest subsidiary, Eckert & Ziegler BEBIG GmbH, emerged in 1992 from the Zentralinstitut für Isotopentechnik, a research institute at the former East German Academy of Sciences.
Eckert & Ziegler has been quoted on the stock market since 1999 and is listed in the Prime Standard of the German Stock Exchange in Frankfurt am Main.
