METALTRONICA S.r.l. was founded in 1977 as a manufacturer of X-Ray equipment and since then has always been following the constant growth of the healthcare market keeping an updated R&D programme and information exchange on international level.

This special approach has often led to the application of significant innovations such as the launch in 1988 of the High Frequency mammography unit COMPACT MAMMO-HF and the fully automatic exposure technique Zero-point.

METALTRONICA has then focused its production on mammography units and it can now offer a wide range of mammography systems that comply with the highest technical standards and vary mainly in their aesthetical aspect and standard accessories. We have developed a rich series of optional accessories such as the fully automatic three dimensional biopsy device and the daylight printer.

Having chosen mammography as our main line, all our efforts aim to make our units the state of the art in the medical and technological field. This results amongst others in an advanced automatic exposure device which guarantees highest image quality at lowest possible X-Ray dose. Our mammography units distinguish themselves for a modern, compact and user friendly design with the typical Italian touch of style.

Our Company is UNI EN ISO 13485:2004 certified and all our units are CE labelled.

We have installed more than 4.000 units all over the world, many of them of course in Italy, France and Germany but also in difficult markets such as China, Iran, and Russia where we have a good position thanks to our attractive price quality ratio.

Due to our flexibility as producer we have going on OEM agreements with important international companies.

METALTRONICA product range includes analogue and digital mammography equipments. The analogue range is composed of the most recent model called LILYUM and the three models of the FLAT line. All the mammo units are available with standard or isocentric C-Arm.

The digital system, launched in 2008, is called HELIANTHUS. This innovative and user friendly mammography unit is equipped with a Full Field Conversion detector, available in 18x24 and 24x30 cm detector size. HELIANTHUS can be provided in different configurations with standard or isocentric C-Arm, in basic version with acquisition station or complete with reviewing station and two monitors at very high resolution.
